Plaque to mark Croppy Hole
Croppy Hole
The bodies of Tadgh O'Donnabhain Asna and other
United Irishmen, slain at the Battle of the Big Cross June 19th 1798, were
thrown into the slob close to this spot at a place called the Crab Hole known
since as the Croppy Hole.
